Courgette Soup

Due to the number of courgettes I have looked at different recipes to use up the courgettes.  The biggest hit in the Warman household is Courgette soup.

We are doing well this year.   I had to plant a few veg plants in my back garden.  French Beans and carrots have been doing well in my garden.

Painting the shed

We thought it was time for the shed to have a paint. As many shops are closed we looked around for some old paint and found some paint we used at home. Also got a new roof as we found some roof felt from someone who has left the allotments

Weekend of planting at home and allotment

The weather was lovely this weekend but due to Convid 19 we can't really go anywhere so I have plenty of time for planting and digging. I started planting in the Greenhouse.  I have planted my onions inside to help them get bigger and stronger until its time to plant them.  I also planted some Courgette, Cauliflowers, Broccoli, Sunflowers and Tomatoes.  I also got some spuds through the post and they are chitting in the walk-in greenhouse.  Also finally got around to getting a new cover for the Walk-in Greenhouse.  Some of the shelves are getting a little rusty so it might only have one year life yet :-(

We took a little trip to the allotment. The part for the rotavator arrived early and Steve got it to work so we could use it today and help dig over the allotment and the section I plan to place my spuds when they are ready

We are Back

Its been a while but we have decided to start updating this blog site.  As we have been at home for the last 2 weeks due to the Virus we have taken the opportunity to do some digging at the allotment. As the ground was really soft it been really easy to dig it over.  We haven't 100% completely weeded it yet but we hope to do it soon.

This used to be several different beds but we have decided to try and get rid of the grass as much as we can and make a very large bed.  This method worked really well for us and it allows to plant easier as I have more room and less restricted by being in small beds.  Our next view to give it another dig over, hopefully, the rotavator will be fixed.I also, have some potato coming in a few days and they will go in this bed.Bed below is not great for growing not sure why.  Steve has started to dig it over as we plan to put our new raspberry plants when they arrive

I only have a few Broad Beans growing that I planted just after Christmas and they seem to be doing really well. Tomorrow I am planning loads of planting in the greenhouse
